Funny Way to Break a Tie

Did you find yourself in a situation where two teams have scored the same number of point during your pub quiz? Then these tie breaker questions will come in handy!

When there is a tie, you need a good question to determine who will be the winner.

While you could add another trivia question to our quiz, it's actually not the best way to proceed since both teams or players could know the exact answers.

This is why a tie breaker question is essential.

You can find below an awesome list of 85 tie breaker questions and answers.

Although there is an exact answer to each one of these questions, it's unlikely anyone would actually know so usually, the winner is one that came the closest.

Here is an example. How many miles is the drive from London to Madrid?

Although your players might have a very good idea of how many there are, it's pretty unlikely someone would come up with the exact answer which is 1,068 miles.

So let's say player 1 says 1,100 miles and player 2 says 2,500 miles. Player 1 is much closer to the actual answer so his or her team would be the winner of the quiz!

You will find below an incredible selection of tiebreak questions for your quiz. They include topics like geography, history but also pop culture, music and TV shows.

Also, if you are organising a Christmas quiz, you should check out these Christmas-themed tie breaker questions.

Good luck and have fun!
